USA AND CHINA PREPARING WAR OVER TAIWAN

Taiwan's military leadership has stated that the USA delivered 42 FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile systems launchers in December 2022 and that it plans to deliver another 200 sets in the second half of 2023 and in 2024.
Thanks to the USA, Taiwan is now also going to receive the FGM-148 Javelin Manpads that Ukraine used to blow up Russian tanks, armored vehicles of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and boats carrying troops for an amphibious landing.
Reports from Taiwanese media quoted unnamed military officials giving details of this arms transfer against the backdrop of President Tsai Ing-wen's visit to the United States (US) and rising tensions with the People's Republic of China (PRC).
In April 2022, Taiwan had about 1,000 such missiles and was awaiting another 400 missiles from the US, which will be delivered in the second half of this year and early 2024.
Although the type already used by the Taiwanese military is a third-generation variant, it is unclear whether the new batch it is expected to receive is an advanced one. The arms sale is part of a 2019 deal approved under then-President Donald Trump, which also includes 1,700 units of the TOW 2B-RF wire-guided missile.
The warhead of a Javelin can destroy modern tanks by hitting them from above, where their armor is weakest. This is called a "top attack" mode, where the missile follows a steep parabolic trajectory before hitting the tank at incredibly high speeds, influenced by both gravity and its own missile propulsion.
President XI is not amused by Taiwan's actions and the USA's interference. China has increased surveillance of its territory and has three military ships patrolling off the coast of Taiwan. Through its own media, China has also - for the umpteenth time - warned the USA to stop its interference.
The international media only highlights the presence of the Chinese military ships off the coast of Taiwan, which they qualify as an act of aggression, without, however, saying a word about the foregoing and the reasons for China's increased preparedness.
According to The Economist, the USA and China are preparing a war over Taiwan that will have devastating consequences for the world.
