The lockdown files caused a stir in the UK. In other countries, it was a lot less. It was only mentioned between the lines. Not headline news and certainly not daily news. Since The Telegraph publicly demanded the criminal prosecution of Hancock, things have suddenly gone quiet again around the lockdown files which does not mean, however, that nothing is happening either.
A team of investigative journalists has launched an undercover investigation into MPs' ancillary earnings. To lure them, time, energy and money has been invested in creating a professional website of a fake South Korean Consultancy company.
20 MPs were approached with the request to attend board meetings of that consultancy company. 5 responded positively for a job interview.
Hancock charges £10,000 a day ( ! ) and if not £1,500 an hour, yet another MP also £10,000 a day, yet another senior MP £60,000 a year. No figures are available of the 2 others ( the video below is just a trailer )
What do they all have in common ? None of them have made the effort to find out prior to the job interview whether this Consultancy company actually exists.
Meanwhile, The Guardian newspaper has already slammed the case on the paving stones. The country is upside down again.
How are things going with Belgian and Dutch politicians, many of whom also hold mandates in all sorts of private companies and private organizations?
How much " extra " do they earn ?
