It has been a while since we heard anything about the catastrophic hole in the ozone layer.
Without the ozone layer, it is said, no life would be possible because everything would be scorched by the heat and the risk of skin cancer would also be very high. Animals and plants would die and so would we humans in time.
The ozone layer is a shield that hangs 15 to 30 km above the earth's surface ( especially above the poles ) and is filled with ozone or 0.3 trioxygen.which has to block the sun's ultra violet radiation to keep life on earth possible. Governments and media outlets have constantly pushed the population into fear and showered them with guilt because, the hole in the ozone layer was of course our fault. We were using too many CFCs.
As recently as October 2020, Flemish outlet VRT claimed that the hole in the ozone layer - according to predictions - which, as usual, were based on mathematical models that differed greatly from the real state - would break the 2006 record, in terms of size. The culture of fear is further fuelled.
So what is really going on? Well, nothing. According to NOAA data, the ozone layer at the poles and over land and ocean is intact.
"The top image shows the total amount of ozone in the atmosphere distributed around the globe. Higher ozone levels are concentrated near the North Pole, which is typical for this time of year."
