Did you know that sleeping naked under a good duvet is good for your body and mind?
We all know that we should make our sleep a priority for our health and
wellbeing. And who doesn't want a minimum of effort for maximum results?
You can do this by dropping your pyjamas!
By sleeping naked in a room that does not exceed 19°C, you will bring
many benefits to your body.
Here are some of the benefits:
1. Quality sleep
Temperature is part of your circadian rhythm or your sleep clock.
Sleeping naked helps lower your body temperature and makes it easier to
to fall asleep. You can regulate your temperature better without pyjamas, the air circulates more easily under the duvet and you are better insulated from the cold.
Sleeping in the nude is a way to stay cool under the duvet. Thanks to a lower body temperature, you get enough REM and deep sleep, aka restorative sleep.
Quality sleep helps to strengthen the immune system, improve the metabolism and reduce stress.
2. Boost weight loss
When you go to bed naked, your body has to work on regulating its temperature and burns more calories.
Deeper sleep decreases our stress hormone, cortisol, better known as the
fattening hormone. Less stress means less craving for snacks and other comfort foods, which contributes to weight loss.
The growth hormone, which is involved in the synthesis of lipids (fats), proteins and glucose, has a fat-burning effect,especially in the abdomen area. By better regulating the body temperature, the level of this hormone is also better regulated.
3. Better tolerance to cold
All kinds of exposure to cold helps your body temperature to regulate itself better, which means that you become more tolerant to cold.
Not bad in these times of energy crisis!
4. Boost your self-esteem and relationship with your partner
Sleeping with nothing but your skin is a great way to get in touch with your body. Being comfortable naked sends messages to the unconscious part of our mind that we feel good, free of clothes.
This would help to improve self-esteem and overall body image.
Skin-to-skin contact between adults stimulates the release of oxytocin,
the hormone of love, trust and connection, which enhances the attachment between partners.
Ladies and gentlemen, I think it's time to take off your clothes!
