ROCKEFELLER FOUNDATION AND WHO CLOSED PARTNERSHIP TO IMPROVE PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS

"The Rockefeller Foundation and the World Health Organization announce a partnership to improve global pandemic preparedness in a time of climate change.

A US$5 million investment will accelerate priority projects of the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence to drive global collaboration on genomic surveillance, use of data tools for pathogen detection and assessment of climate-induced outbreak threats.

The Rockefeller Foundation launched the partnership with the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence on 23 May 2023, on the sidelines of the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
