MAJORITY OF POPULATIONS BELIEVE COVID RESTRICTIONS WENT TOO FAR

Writer: WWHISPERWWHISPER

The Democracy Perception Index (DPI) is the world's largest annual survey on democracy, conducted by Latana in collaboration with the Alliance of Democracies, to monitor attitudes towards democracy from around the world.

Latana conducted a large-scale survey to ascertain how the people of countries that were subjected to freedom-restricting measures during the Covid pandemic perceived these restrictions. The majority felt that the restrictions went too far and they were restricted too much in their freedom. This also applies to Belgium and the Netherlands.

Quite peculiar is that the populations of countries that are less democratic experienced the restrictions as worse than in more democratic countries (that presume to be the West ).

You can consult the results in the link below. Definitely worth a look now that results from other surveys are also displayed, including how the populations of all nations feel about economic inequality, restrictions on the right to speech, the power of Big Tech, the influence of the US, China and Russia and fraudulent elections.
