There are reportedly too few rental properties in Los Angeles for a democratic budget. What is available is unaffordable.
Following in the footsteps of crowded Chinese cities where residential capsules are rented out even in train stations, LA has now also opted for this rather pricey formula. And, the tenants seem to be happy because they have a dry place to sleep and store their few personal belongings. They are not thinking of moving outside the big city where they could rent a full-fledged house or flat for the same price or slightly more.
Is this the future ?
