ITALY IS GOING TO BAN LAB MEAT

Italy's right-wing government has backed a bill that will ban laboratory meat and other synthetic foods to highlight Italy's food heritage and health protection.

If the proposals pass, fines of up to €60 000 (£53 000) could be imposed on all those who breach the ban.

Francesco Lollobrigida, who heads the new agriculture and food sovereignty ministry, spoke of the importance of Italy's food tradition.

The agriculture lobby praised the measure.

That's a big no go strike for WEF's plan.
