FRANCE REOPENS COAL-FIRED POWER PLANT

Writer's picture: WWHISPERWWHISPER

The while we are all under strong pressure to reduce our ecological footprint and emit less CO2, France is reopening an old coal-fired power plant that will emit giga tonnes of CO2. This coal-fired power plant is privately owned. Purchased by a Czech oligarch who will supply France with electricity. . Why? Because half of France's nuclear power plants are closed due to corrosion problems and the coal plant can generate a lot of electricity that will get France through next winter and this one next year.

Not to mention the CO2 emissions caused by transporting the coal to that coal plant. After all, France has none. The mega tons of coal will be transported from Australia and South Africa by sea to Amsterdam and from there by land to the South of France.
