People with disabilities can request money from the government with which they can pay for their support. That money is called the "person-following budget". Jo Vandeurzen (CD&V), who was minister of welfare from 2009 to 2019, introduced these budgets so that people with disabilities can choose more of how they shape their lives themselves.
