ECB WANTS BANKS TO GIVE HIGHER INTEREST RATES TO DEPOSITORS

On 15 June 2023, the base rate was raised by 25 percentage points to 3.5% for the 8th time in just over a year. In July, the base rate will be raised again by 25 percentage points, to 3.75%. This trend will continue sharply in the coming year to counter core inflation.
