Over the past year, there have been an awful lot of fires, explosions and train derailments in the United States. Lately, it has been happening almost on a daily basis. Yesterday, March 20, 2023, it was again the case in West Virginia.
It seems as if the rail system is in total ruin. There is no explanation for these successive train disasters. The fact that many of the derailed trains carry chemical cargo is of course purely coincidental.
Many goods can no longer be transported by train. Civilian transportation is also no longer possible in numerous locations. At least for now, until the rail infrastructure is repaired but the Biden administration is in no hurry for that.
There are other, more important priorities. Biden faces a pressing financial problem. The national debt is a straggering $310 trillion. The dollar is on the rocks.
