UKRAINE DICTATORSHIP

The oligarch Rinat Akhmetov was, until today, the owner of Holding Media Group Ukraine, which holds most of Ukraine's popular TV channels, newspapers and magazines. More than 4,000 journalists worked for him.

Today, Akhmetov announced that he was handing over all his TV channels, newspapers and magazines to the " Ukrainian authorities ".

Afterwards, he also announced that he was relinquishing his media properties.

Meanwhile, this is already a fact.

Akhmetov has made it clear that the transfer is not a free choice but he has been forced to do so.

From now on, all remaining TV channels, newspapers, magazines and the 4,000 journalists will have to obey Zelensky and follow his instructions. He has total control over the media landscape.

Pro memoria, Zelensky at an earlier stage banned and closed all TV and radio channels as well as all newspapers and magazines that, allegedly , had Russian sympathies and/or broadcast and published in the Russian language, ordered the destruction of over 1,000,000 school textbooks in the Russian language, formally banned education in the Russian language or as a second language and similarly banned speaking the Russian language any more or doing any publication in that language on pain of prosecution and even death and ... in addition, banned all opposition parties ( 12 ) in Ukraine on the pretext that they were/are Russian-minded and confiscated all their assets. Some opposition political leaders were even arrested and taken into custody. There is no longer an opposition party in Ukraine.

30% of Ukraine's population ( or over 12 million people ) are of Russian origin and/or Russian-speaking. 4 million of them live in Donbas where only Russian is spoken.

These people have nothing to do with the political squabbles between Russia and Ukraine but are the head of the pack, as is oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, who is seeing all his wealth go up in smoke. Zelensky and his administration pay no fee for the transfer of all TV channels, newspapers and magazines.

It should just happen to you of living in a country where there is no more political opposition, no freedom of media but only state propaganda, no freedom of speech and no free choice of language. In short, zero freedom in anything.

North Korea has often been condemned by the West in the past for leader Kim Jong-un's dictatorship there. He has been barred from all international relations.

But for Ukraine, it can. More so, Ukraine is welcome to join the EU that prides itself on democratic values ( which - also - are not there, it is an illusion, but in word democracy is held in high esteem ).
