It is clearly an established trend in many countries to greatly reduce the use of fertilisers in agriculture, leaving farmers in trouble and unable to grow the same quantity and quality of fruit and vegetables.
After the Netherlands and a string of other countries, Canadian farmers are now taking to the streets to demonstrate.
In Belgium, farmers remain polite - for now. They have submitted written opposition to the planned closure of 19 farms that allegedly fail to meet nitrogen standards.
Farming is essential. No farming, no food. Reduced farming, less food and high ( even higher ) prices.
