THE CLIMATE CRISIS : THE UN SOUNDS THE ALARM

20.03.2023

On the International Day of Happiness, day declared by the UN, Antonio Guterres has published a " synthesis report " on climate, limited to a video that bears the following caption :

" To ensure a sustainable and livable life for all we need financing"

Funding needed. Do you get it ?

The report itself, with data and figures, to which Guterres refers has not been made public. Click on the link next to the 2023 report.

We have to do it with a video, a speech by Guterres broadcasted by all media outlets and a series of press articles by the UN itself and the international media.

"Urgent action is needed to counter man-made climate change, according to a report by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change published on Monday.

"Without urgent, effective, equitable mitigation and adaptation measures, climate change poses an increasing threat to ecosystems, biodiversity and the livelihoods, health and well-being of current and future generations," said the report, released on Monday in Interlaken, Switzerland.

IPCC reports are considered the most authoritative assessments of global warming, its impacts and the measures being taken to address them.

"Humanity is on thin ice - and that ice is melting fast," said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. "Our world needs climate action on all fronts - everything, everywhere and at the same time."

The report is not all doom and gloom: According to the report, there are also many feasible and effective options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to man-made climate change, and they are available now.

IPCC chair Hoesung Lee said that "if we act now, we can still secure a livable sustainable future for all."

Of course, global warming is man's fault. Who else's?

Fear politics reigns to the supreme again. Lots of meteorologists and scientists are pulled in front of the obligatory cameras to explain how bad things are. On paper, anyway, according to all kinds of models. Practice shows otherwise.
