It has been pending in the air for a while but now it is a fact. Nikki Haley ( 51 ), a dyed-in-the-wool politician, maiden name Nimrata Nikki Randhawa, is running for the 2024 presidential election on behalf of the Republicans.

The kick off of her election campaign was scheduled for 15 February 2023 and today she indeed confirmed here candidacy and launched her first promotional video.

From early 2017 to late 2018, Haley - under President Trump - was US ambassador to the United Nations. Before that, she was the first female governor of the state of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017.

Nikki Haley is also a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum (class of 2011).

Until today, Donald Trump was the only presidential candidate for the GOP ( Grand Old Party ). He may well have to face further competition. Indeed, Senator Ron DeSantis, governor of the state of Florida, is also considering running for the 2024 presidential election.

During the Covid19 pandemic, DeSantis firmly opposed to all the measures that were introduced worldwide and pretty much abolished them completely on short notice. In Florida, numerous studies haven taken place which demonstrated that in states without freedom-restricting measures, there were no more infected and sick people than in states with strict rules. Quite a few court hearings also took place regarding the mouth mask requirement, measures and vaccines. Florida was, as a matter op speaking, the red rag that enraged the bull.

How the American people will react to these candidates remains an open question for now. It is expected that Nikki Haley's WEF connection will certainly be played out during the election campaign. If not by Trump then certainly by DeSantis, provided he follows through on his intentions.
