The Australian Bureau of Statistics today released figures for deaths between January and April 2022. During this period, there were 59,147 deaths from all possible conditions recorded in Australia, or 8,513 more ( 16.8% ) than the previous period. In April alone, 14,492 deaths were recorded or 1,580 more ( 12.2% ) that the same month the year before. These deaths cannot be explained by Covid because only 3,593 deaths were recorded by or with Omicron between January and April 2022.
Pro memoria, the symptoms of Omicron are similar to those of a common cold. The same applies to the new variants that have sprung from Omicron ( Ninja and Centaurus )
Australian doctors and scientists wonder to what this sudden rise in deaths and excess mortality is due.
